March 2022: I was on the Strez Hwy (between Mirboo North and Leongatha) a few months ago, and a koala was dazed and in shock on the side of the road. I went to help him and was so disappointed as so many cars wouldn’t slow down, even though there were three of us trying to get the poor guy off the road. Just pure disregard. Sadly we got him to Leongatha vets, where an xray showed a fractured skull and he had to be PTS.
