June 14 2021: I just had the sad task of removing a dead juvenile koala off the Nerrena Rd. I was heading home – and had just turned out of old Meeniyan Rd. Reckon a 4WD travelling in the opposite direction which passed me a few secs later had hit it. I stopped, chucked a U, put the hazards on and moved the animal to the verge. The next vehicle was SES. They were lovely – especially given probably just done a long day. Got out, checked the animal in case it was female. Whoever hit it would have known. And they drove on leaving it in the middle of the lane.
